How to use your 4-stage electric sharpener?

Plug in & place

Place the sharpener on a flat, stable surface. Its generous size (32 cm) provides excellent stability. Plug in the device and let it reach its optimal rotation speed.

Choose your starting stage

Depending on the blade's condition: stage 1 (Coarse) if very damaged, stage 2 (Medium) for maintenance, stage 3 (Fine) for quick finishing, stage 4 (Ceramic) alone for simple polishing.

Insert & pull towards you

Insert the blade into the chosen slot. The 20° angle is automatically maintained. Gently pull towards you, from heel to tip, in a slow and steady motion. Without excessive pressure—the diamond grinding wheels do the work.

Always finish with ceramic

Whatever your starting stage, finish with stage 4 (Ceramic) for the final polish. 3 to 5 passes are sufficient. Test on a sheet of paper: the cut should be clean and silent.

The 20° is the ideal angle for chef's knives and hunting knives that require increased edge durability for intensive cutting tasks. A 20° edge is slightly more robust than a 15° edge—it better withstands impacts and repeated use on hard foods (bones, gourds, fibrous meats).

If you own Japanese or Damascus knives designed for a 15° angle, this sharpener is not the right tool—it would alter the original angle of these blades. In this case, prefer our magnetic rolling sharpener or our electric sharpener calibrated at 15°.
