How to use your Crank Mandoline?

Using it is intuitive from the first use — no training, no special technique to master. Here are the 4 steps:

Setup

Place the mandoline on a clean, dry work surface. Press firmly on the "Power-Grip" suction cup base to lock it. It will not move during slicing.

Choose the drum

Clip in the drum suitable for your recipe: smooth blade for slices (gratins, salads), julienne for sticks (fries, coleslaw), fine grater for cheese or zucchini. Changing takes only a few seconds.

Slicing

Place the vegetable in the funnel, hold it with the ergonomic food pusher, and turn the crank clockwise. Slices fall directly and evenly into the collection container.

Cleaning & storage

Rinse the parts with warm water or place them in the dishwasher. To extend the life of the drums, hand washing with a brush is ideal. Stored in two minutes.

For very firm vegetables like raw beetroot or celeriac, first cut them in half lengthwise before placing them in the funnel. The contact surface is larger, the drum grips better, and your crank turns with less effort. Result: even more regular slices and half the effort.

  1. Immediate Disassembly: After each use, detach the handle and remove the stainless steel drum from the body of the appliance. Do not allow vegetable or cheese residue to dry, as it will become difficult to dislodge.
  2. Hand Washing (Recommended): Although many models are dishwasher-safe, hand washing is preferable. Use warm water, mild dish soap, and a kitchen brush to clean the inside of the drum without risking cuts.
  3. Cleaning the Suction Base: For the base of the mandoline, a simple wipe with a damp sponge is sufficient. Avoid fully immersing the base if it has a complex locking mechanism, to prevent water from stagnating inside.
  4. Complete Drying: This is the most important step. Carefully wipe the blades with a dry cloth. Air drying can leave limescale marks or promote long-term oxidation, even on stainless steel.
